For over 30 years, I have been involved with sports either as a player, coach or trainer. I have coaching and training experience at all levels. Some of the sports in which I have coached have been: Football, Volleyball, Basketball, Track, Wrestling and Soccer.
I started Grit Athletic Training because I started to notice that many players, though extremely talented, lacked several key elements that are needed in sports. Agility, speed, reaction, power and strength are not emphasized as they should be during practice. Even though athletes possess the knowledge of the game, they do not posses the skills needed to achieve their highest potential. Through GRIT Athletic Training programs, athletes will be pushed to achieve their highest potential.
As a personal trainer, I love to help athletes achieve their highest level of performance. I feel that when they perform their best, I feel their accomplishments. I believe that becoming a great athlete does not only occur in practice, but outside of practice hours, when everybody else sits at home, a true athlete is pushing themselves to be their best. I started GRIT Athletic Training for those athletes who want to become their best athletic self.
Accomplishments:
-All State honors in Football and Track
-2 time power lifting State Champion
-ISSA Personal Trainer, and working on strength and conditioning for youth.
-Coached High School Football and Volleyball. Have also coached Basketball, Soccer, Track and Wrestling.
-Athlete in Football, Wrestling, Basketball, Soccer, Baseball and Track.
-Masters degree in Anesthesia
-Bachelors degree in Nursing
-Study in Cardiac and Muscular Physiology, Nutrition, Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology
-Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certified.
